Calvary's Deepest Pain		갈보리의 가장 큰 고통
[ Matthew 26:36 - 26:46 ] - hymn 192 The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. - Isaiah 53:6 After washing His disciples' feet and celebrating the Passover with them, Jesus led them into a familiar garden and "began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed" (Matthew 26:37). Going a bit farther with Peter, James, and John, He said, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me" (v.38). Then, walking a short distance away, Jesus "fell on His face" before God, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will" (v.39). He did this three times (v.44). How do we account for such a surge of emotional turmoil? Only by understanding the "cup" that Jesus asked His Father to take from Him. He was about to bear "the iniquity of us all" (Isaiah 53:6). That "cup" was filled with the sins of the whole world. The agony of Gethsemane would culminate on the cross in His heart-wrenching cry: "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46). Jesus' physical pain was nothing compared with Calvary's deepest pain—the awful reality of being abandoned by His Father. God made Jesus "to be sin for us" (2 Corinthians 5:21), so the Father had to turn away from Him. Praise God for His great love for us! — Herb Vander Lugt		[ 마태복음 26:36 - 26:46 ] - 찬송가 192 장 여호와께서는 우리 무리의 죄악을 그에게 담당시키셨도다 - 이사야 53:6 예수님께서 그 제자들의 발을 씻기시고 유월절을 그들과 함께 지내신 후 가까운 동산으로 그들을 인도하시고 “고민하고 몹시 슬퍼하셨습니다” (마 26:37). 베드로와 야고보, 요한을 데리고 좀 더 멀리 가셔서 “ 마음이 심히 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라” (38절) 고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 조금 더 나아가셔서, “얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려” 하나님께 “내 아버지여 만일 할 만 하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서 그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서”(39절)라고 세 번이나 기도하셨습니다(44절). 이렇게 격동하는 감정의 혼란을 어떻게 설명할 수 있습니까? 예수님께서 하나님 아버지께 거두어 달라고 부탁하신 “잔”을 이해해야만 할 수 있습니다. 그분은 “우리 무리의 죄악” (사 53:6)을 담당하려 하신 것입니다. 그 “잔”은 온 세상의 모든 죄악으로 가득 차 있었습니다. 겟세마네의 고통은 십자가 위에서 “나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까” (마 27:46)라고 하신 가슴이 찢어지는 부르짖음으로 극에 달했습니다. 예수님의 육체적 고통은 갈보리의 가장 깊은 상처, 즉 그의 아버지 하나님으로부터 버림받는 처절한 현실에 비하면 아무것도 아니었습니다. 하나님은 예수님께 “우리의 죄를 대신하게” (고후 5:21) 하시려고 예수님에게서 등을 돌리셨습니다. 우리를 향한 한없는 하나님의 사랑을 찬송합시다.

Matthew 26:36-46

[36] Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray."
[37] He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.
[38] Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
[39] Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."
[40] Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter.
[41] "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."
[42] He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done."
[43] When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.
[44] So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.
[45] Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
[46] Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"

하나님의 아들!
할렐루야! 우리의 구세주!

그리스도는 우리에게 영원한 생명의 햇빛을 주시려고 영원한 죽음의 어둠 속으로 용감하게 가셨다.

[36] 이에 예수께서 제자들과 함께 겟세마네라 하는 곳에 이르러 제자들에게 이르시되 내가 저기 가서 기도할 동안에 너희는 여기 앉아 있으라 하시고
[37] 베드로와 세베대의 두 아들을 데리고 가실쌔 고민하고 슬퍼하사
[38] 이에 말씀하시되 내 마음이 심히 고민하여 죽게 되었으니 너희는 여기 머물러 나와 함께 깨어 있으라 하시고
[39] 조금 나아가사 얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 할만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서 그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고
[40] 제자들에게 오사 그 자는 것을 보시고 베드로에게 말씀하시되 너희가 나와 함께 한 시 동안도 이렇게 깨어 있을 수 없더냐
[41] 시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고
[42] 다시 두번째 나아가 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 내가 마시지 않고는 이 잔이 내게서 지나갈 수 없거든 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시고
[43] 다시 오사 보신즉 저희가 자니 이는 저희 눈이 피곤함일러라
[44] 또 저희를 두시고 나아가 세번째 동일한 말씀으로 기도하신 후
[45] 이에 제자들에게 오사 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 보라 때가 가까왔으니 인자가 죄인의 손에 팔리우느니라
[46] 일어나라 함께 가자 보라 나를 파는 자가 가까이 왔느니라
