Careless Preachers		부주의한 전도자들
[ Matthew 23:1 - 23:3 ] - hymn 259 Do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do. - Matthew 23:3 Some opponents of Christianity may not be so much against Jesus as they are against hypocrisy. Ironically, it hasn't occurred to them that no one was more opposed to hypocrisy than Christ Himself. We've all met scoffers who mindlessly parrot the phrase, "The church is full of hypocrites!" But let's not be mindless in our response and dismiss such pronouncements without taking heed lest they be true. We tend to think that it's not true of us. But let's think again. How many times have we been like the woman who glanced through her window, only to see a nosy, noisy neighbor approaching her door! Her young, impressionable children heard her as she grumbled, "Oh, no-not her again!" Whereupon she opened the door and gushed insincerely, "How very nice to see you!" Our lips and our lives often preach a mixed message. Jesus described the hypocritical teachers of the law and warned His disciples, "Do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do" (Matthew 23:3). God forbid that some opponent of Christ would be influenced by careless hypocrisy in our lives. Lord, help us to be careful "preachers." - Joanie Yoder		[ 마태복음 23:1 - 23:3 ] - 찬송가 259 장 "저희의 하는 행위는 본받지 말라 저희는 말만 하고 행치 아니하며" - 마태복음 23:3 기독교를 반대하는 어떤 사람들은 예수님을 반대한다기 보다는 사람들의 위선적인 행동에 반대하는 것입니다. 역설적인 것은 누구보다도 예수님 자신이 위선에 반대하신 분이라는 것을 그들이 알지 못한다는 것입니다. 우리는 모두 “교회는 위선자들로 가득 차있다!”는 말을 별 뜻도 없이 함부로 되풀이 하는 사람들을 만나 본 적이 있을 것입니다. 그러나 이때에 우리도 별 뜻 없이 넘어가거나 비난의 말을 못 들은 척 해서는 안되며 그들의 말이 사실이 되지 않도록 조심해야 합니다. 우리에게는 우리는 그렇지 않다고 생각하려는 경향이 있습니다. 그러나 다시 한번 생각해 봅시다. 우리는 참견 잘하고 수다스러운 한 이웃이 자기 집에 오는 것을 창문으로 내다 보고는 다음과 같은 행동을 하였던 한 여인과 비슷한 때가 많았을 것입니다. 그녀는 “아니, 또 저 여자야!”하며 투덜거리고, 그 소리를 자기의 어리고 감수성이 예민한 자녀들이 듣습니다. 그리고 그녀는 문을 열고 “정말 반가워요!”하며 마음에도 없는 말을 합니다. 우리의 말과 실제생활은 앞뒤가 맞지 않는 메시지를 전달할 때가 많습니다. 예수님께서는 위선적인 율법 선생에 대해 말씀하시며 제자들에게 “저희의 하는 행위를 본받지 말라. 저희는 말만 하고 행치 아니하느니라”(마 23:3)고 경고하였습니다. 하나님, 예수님을 반대하는 사람들이 우리 생활 속에서 드러나는 부주의한 위선 행위로 인해 영향을 받지 않게 하소서. 주님, 우리가 지혜로운 “전도자들”이 되도록 도와 주소서.

It's a mistake to think that we can impress the world by compromising with it.

Matthew 23:1-3, 27-28

[1] Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
[2] "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
[3] So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

[27] "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.
[28] In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

주여, 당신은 우리를 이 암흑의 세상에서
빛의 아들로 빛을 비추라고 보내셨습니다.
주님, 그러므로 우리로 진실을 흐리지 않고
밝게 비취게 도와 주소서.

세상과 타협하여 세상을 감동시킬 수 있다는 생각은 착각이다.

마태복음 23:1-3, 27-28

[1] 이에 예수께서 무리와 제자들에게 말씀하여 가라사대
[2] 서기관들과 바리새인들이 모세의 자리에 앉았으니
[3] 그러므로 무엇이든지 저희의 말하는 바는 행하고 지키되 저희의 하는 행위는 본받지 말라 저희는 말만 하고 행치 아니하며

[27] 화 있을진저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 회칠한 무덤 같으니 겉으로는 아름답게 보이나 그 안에는 죽은 사람의 뼈와 모든 더러운 것이 가득하도다
[28] 이와 같이 너희도 겉으로는 사람에게 옳게 보이되 안으로는 외식과 불법이 가득하도다
