How Are You?		안녕하세요?
[ Matthew 15:10 - 15:20 ] - hymn 507 Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart. - Matthew 15:18 When people greet each other, they usually say, "How are you?" At one time in China, the typical greeting was, "Have you eaten?" In the days of poverty, asking our friends if they had eaten was to express our concern for their well-being. Today when friends greet me, they often say, "Have you put on weight?" Whether they're genuinely concerned for my health, or just think I should lose a few pounds, they care about me. Everything we say, not just our greetings, reflects the concerns of our heart. Jesus said, "Those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart" (Matthew 15:18). He was explaining to His disciples that people could not be morally contaminated by the food they ate, but by words spoken out of unclean hearts. It was not strange that Jesus' bold statements offended the Pharisees (v.12). They were great at appearing righteous on the outside, but they had no concern for the hypocrisy in their hearts. As Christ's disciples, however, our focus should be on keeping our hearts clean so that our words will reflect genuine righteousness. It is wise to think about the words you use throughout the day, wherever you go. What do they say about the condition of your heart? - AL		[ 마태복음 15:10 - 15:20 ] - 찬송가 507 장 "입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오나니…" - 마태복음 15:18 사람들은 서로 인사할 때에 대개 "안녕하세요?"라고 말합니다. 중국에서는 한때 "식사하셨습니까?"라고 인사말을 하였습니다. 가난했던 그 시대에는 친구에게 식사를 했는지 물어보는 것이 그들의 안녕에 대해 관심을 보이는 말이었습니다. 요즈음 친구들이 나를 만나면 종종 "체중이 좀 늘었나?"하고 묻습니다. 친구들이 나의 건강에 대해 진지한 관심을 갖고 묻는 것인지, 아니면 단순히 살을 좀 빼라고 하는 말인지, 하여간 나를 염려해서 하는 말입니다. 인사 뿐만이 아니라 우리가 하는 모든 말이 우리 마음의 관심사를 나타냅니다. 예수님은 "입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오나니" (마 15:18)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 주님은 사람들이 도덕적으로 더러워지는 것은 먹는 음식 때문이 아니라 깨끗치 못한 마음에서 나오는 말 때문이라고 제자들에게 설명하셨습니다. 예수님이 거리낌없이 하신 이 말씀이 바리새인들의 기분을 상하게 한 것은 이상한 일이 아니었습니다 (12절). 그들은 겉으로 의롭게 보이게 하는 일은 잘 했지만 마음속에 있는 위선에 대해서는 아무런 거리낌도 없었습니다. 그러나 우리는 그리스도의 제자들로서 우리의 말이 진정한 의로움을 나타낼 수 있도록 마음을 깨끗하게 지키는데 항상 관심을 가져야 합니다. 하루 종일 어디를 가든지 자신이 사용하는 말에 대해 생각해 보는 것이 현명합니다. 사람들은 당신의 마음 상태가 어떻다고 말합니까?

Matthew 15:10-20

[10] Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand.
[11] What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'"
[12] Then the disciples came to him and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"
[13] He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
[14] Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."
[15] Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."
[16] "Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.
[17] "Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body?
[18] But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'
[19] For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
[20] These are what make a man 'unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him 'unclean.'"

당신이 가정과 직장에서 쓰는 말 속에서
그리고 놀이할 때에 쓰는 말 속에서
사람들은 예수님이 당신의 마음 속에 사신다는 것과
당신의 말을 주관하신다는 것을 알 수 있나요?

혀를 다스리려면 그리스도께서
당신의 마음을 다스리시도록 하라.

마태복음 15:10-20

[10] 무리를 불러 이르시되 듣고 깨달으라
[11] 입에 들어가는 것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이 아니라 입에서 나오는 그것이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이니라
[12] 이에 제자들이 나아와 가로되 바리새인들이 이 말씀을 듣고 걸림이 된 줄 아시나이까
[13] 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 심은 것마다 내 천부께서 심으시지 않은 것은 뽑힐 것이니
[14] 그냥 두어라 저희는 소경이 소경을 인도하는 자로다 만일 소경이 되어 소경을 인도하면 둘이 다 구덩이에 빠지리라 하신대
[15] 베드로가 대답하여 가로되 이 비유를 우리에게 설명하여 주옵소서
[16] 예수께서 가라사대 너희도 아직까지 깨달음이 없느냐
[17] 입으로 들어가는 모든 것은 배로 들어가서 뒤로 내어버려지는 줄을 알지 못하느냐
[18] 입에서 나오는 것들은 마음에서 나오나니 이것이야말로 사람을 더럽게 하느니라
[19] 마음에서 나오는 것은 악한 생각과 살인과 간음과 음란과 도적질과 거짓 증거와 훼방이니
[20] 이런 것들이 사람을 더럽게 하는 것이요 씻지 않은 손으로 먹는 것은 사람을 더럽게 하지 못하느니라
