Do I Care?		마음이 쓰이나요?
[ Matthew 9:35 - 9:38 ] - hymn 256 When He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them. - Matthew 9:36 Why would Richard Gilder install a fire department gong in his bedroom? As the Tenement House Commissioner in New York City, he wondered what was causing so many fires. But he did more than wonder-he showed genuine concern. Whenever a fire broke out in one of the tenement houses, the alarm sounded and Gilder would rush off to investigate. Do we have the same kind of concern for people who are starving, sick, and suffering from cruel oppression? And what about the multitudes who, without Jesus Christ, will spend eternity in hell? How concerned are we about their future? Do we share the compassion that motivated our Savior? (Matthew 9:36). The apostle Paul had that kind of concern. He wrote in Romans 9:2, "I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart." He yearned for his fellow Jews to be saved. Are we concerned enough to pray? We can all do that. Do we care enough to give? We can be faithful stewards and contribute to the ongoing work of the gospel. And what about witnessing? We can speak about our faith to a friend. We can write a letter, give out a tract, or perhaps send a book to some non-Christian acquaintance. If we care, we'll do something. - VCG		[ 마태복음 9:35 - 9:38 ] - 찬송가 256 장 "무리를 보시고 민망히 여기시니..." - 마태복음 9:36 리차드 길더는 왜 자신의 침실 안에 소방서의 종을 달아 놓을까요? 뉴욕시 빈민주택가의 행정관으로서 그는 무엇이 그렇게 많은 화재를 유발시키는지 궁금해 했습니다. 그러나 그는 단지 궁금해 하는 것 그 이상의 일을 했습니다. 즉, 그의 진실한 관심을 나타냈던 것입니다. 화재가 주택가에서 발생할 때마다 그의 침실에 경보 음이 울렸고 길더는 화재를 조사하려고 곧바로 뛰어나갔습니다. 우리는 굶주림, 질병, 그리고 잔혹한 압제 등으로 고통 받는 사람들에 대해 그와 같은 관심을 가지고 있습니까? 예수님이 없음으로 영원히 지옥에서 지내야 할 많은 사람들에 대해서는 어떻습니까? 그들의 미래에 대해 얼마나 염려하고 있습니까? 예수님의 마음을 움직였던 그런 동정심을 우리도 가지고 있습니까?(마태복음 9:36). 바울사도는 그와 같은 관심을 가지고 있었습니다. 그는 로마서 9 장 2절에 "내게 큰 근심이 있는 것과 마음에 그치지 않는 고통이 있는 것을"이라고 썼습니다. 그는 동족 유대인들이 구원 받기를 갈망하였습니다. 당신은 기도할 만큼 염려하고 있습니까? 우리 모두 그렇게 할 수 있습니다. 베풀어 줄 수 있을 만큼 마음을 쓰고 있습니까? 우리는 신실한 청지기가 될 수도 있고, 계속되는 복음사역에 공헌할 수 있습니다. 복음의 증인이 되는 것은 어떻습니까? 우리는 친구에게 우리의 신앙에 대해 용기 있게 말할 수 있습니다. 또한 우리가 아는 불신자들에게 편지를 보내거나 소책자를 건네줄 수도 있으며, 아마도 책을 보낼 수도 있을 것입니다. 우리의 마음이 쓰인다면, 무엇이든 할 것입니다.

Lord, give me a burden for the dying,
For the lost, where'er they be;
Help me to care that they are heading

Loving the lost is the first step in leading them to Christ.

Matthew 9:35-38

[35] Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
[36] When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
[37] Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.
[38] Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."

주여, 죽어 가는 자, 방황하는 자들을 향한
부담감을 갖게 하소서
그들이 암흑의 영원을 향해 가고 있는 것에
마음이 쓰이도록 도와주소서

예수님을 모르는 사람을 사랑하는 것이 그들을 예수님께 인도하는 첫 걸음이다.

마태복음 9:35-38

[35] 예수께서 모든 성과 촌에 두루 다니사 저희 회당에서 가르치시며 천국 복음을 전파하시며 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니라
[36] 무리를 보시고 민망히 여기시니 이는 저희가 목자 없는 양과 같이 고생하며 유리함이라
[37] 이에 제자들에게 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일꾼은 적으니
[38] 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내어 주소서 하라 하시니라
