GOD’S UNDENIABLE POWER		부인할 수 없는 하나님의 권능
[ Daniel 6:25 - 6:28 ] - hymn 542 [God] rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. [ DANIEL 6:27 ] When the Transit Agency of Central Kentucky (TACK) reno-vated its headquarters, it wanted to make sure people noticed. Instead of a subtle sign or announcement, it installed a massive, nearly twenty-two-feet-tall thumbtack at its entrance. The thumbtack, a world record, is an undeniable marker that no passersby can miss. In Daniel 6, God used something undeniable to get people’s attention: He miraculously rescued Daniel after he’d been placed in a lion’s den for choosing to defy King Darius’ decree by continu-ing to pray to God (VV. 10-23). The prophet survived because he’d “trusted in . . . God” (V. 23). Darius then declared that—unlike the dead idols of the Medes and Persians—Daniel’s God was “the living God [who] endures forever” (V. 26). He alone “rescues and . . . saves [and] performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth” (V. 27). It’s remarkable that even a pagan king acknowledged God’s power and sovereignty. Like a giant, divine “thumbtack,” God’s act of power couldn’t be overlooked. Sometimes God gets our attention as He does something significant and undeniable (V. 27)—supernatural rescues, right-on-time provisions, and heart transformations. Other times, He works quietly as we watch and wait. Let’s stand in awe of what He’s doing in and around us today—trusting in Him and His great power (V. 23). MARVIN WILLIAMS		[ 다니엘 6:25 - 6:28 ] - 찬송가 542 장 [하나님께서는] 구원도 하시며 건져내기도 하시며 하늘에서든지 땅에서든지 이적과 기사를 행하시는 이로서 [다니엘 6:27] 미국 켄터키주 교통 공사(TACK)가 본사 건물을 리모델링할 때, 사람들의 눈길을 확실히 끌고 싶었습니다. 그래서 작은 간판이나 안내문 대신, 6.7 미터 높이의 거대한 압정 조형물을 본사 입구에 설치했습니다. 세계최대 크기의 이 압정 조형물은 행인들 누구도 놓칠 수 없는 표시였습니다. 다니엘서 6장에서 하나님은 아무도 부인할 수 없는 기적을 보여 사람들의 주목을 끌었습니다. 다니엘이 다리오 왕의 명령을 거역하면서 계속 하나님께 기도하다가 사자굴에 던져졌을 때, 다니엘을 하나님은 기적적으로 구출해 낸 것입니다(10-23절). 다니엘 선지자는 “자기 하나님을 믿음으로써”(23절) 살아 남았습니다. 그러자 다리오 왕은 메대와 바사의 죽은 우상들과는 달리 다니엘의 하나님은 “살아 계시는 하나님이시요 영원히 변하지 않으실 이”(26절)라고 선포합니다. 오직 그분만이 “구원도 하시며 건져내기도 하시며 하늘에서든지 땅에서든지 이적과 기사를 행하시는 이”(27절) 십니다. 이교도 왕조차도 하나님의 능력과 주권을 인정했다는 것은 놀라운 일입니다. 마치 거대하고 신성한 “압정” 처럼, 하나님께서 보여주신 그 능력의 사건은 누구도 무시할 수 없는 표징이 되었습니다. 하나님께서 초자연적으로 구원하시고, 꼭 필요한 때 공급하시며, 마음을 변화시키시는 것 같이 의미 있고 부인할 수 없는(27절) 어떤 일을 하실 때 종종 하나님이 주목 받기도 합니다. 그러나 어떤 때에는, 우리가 지켜보며 기다리는 동안 조용히 역사하시기도 합니다. 하나님과 그분의 위대한 권능을 믿고(23절) 오늘 우리 안에서, 그리고 우리 주변에서 하나님이 행하시는 일들을 경외심을 갖고 지켜봅시다(23절).

25 Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth: “May you prosper greatly!

26 “I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. “For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.

27 He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions.”

28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

25 ○이에 다리오 왕이 온 땅에 있는 모든 백성과 나라들과 언어가 다른 모든 사람들에게 조서를 내려 이르되 원하건대 너희에게 큰 평강이 있을지어다

26 내가 이제 조서를 내리노라 내 나라 관할 아래에 있는 사람들은 다 다니엘의 하나님 앞에서 떨며 두려워할지니 그는 살아 계시는 하나님이시요 영원히 변하지 않으실 이시며 그의 나라는 멸망하지 아니할 것이요 그의 권세는 무궁할 것이며

27 그는 구원도 하시며 건져내기도 하시며 하늘에서든지 땅에서든지 이적과 기사를 행하시는 이로서 다니엘을 구원하여 사자의 입에서 벗어나게 하셨음이라 하였더라

28 ○이 다니엘이 다리오 왕의 시대와 바사 사람 고레스 왕의 시대에 형통하였더라
