SHINE CHRIST’S LIGHT		그리스도의 빛을 비추라
[ Matthew 5:13 - 5:16 ] - hymn 516 Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. [ MATTHEW 5:16 ] In the dimly lit restaurant, our waitress quietly took our orders with a solemn expression. But then a customer kindly gave her a writing pen that had a little flashlight built into it. He told her it was so she could “see in the dark.” Her face lit up, and her demeanor changed to reflect joy. It was evident that she was delighted by the gift—clicking the light off and on. When she left our table, the man smiled as he whis-pered to me, “I think she brightened up when I gave her the pen. It made her day!” The God-given gift of light certainly brightens our days. Jesus is the ultimate gift of light—“light . . . come into the world” to save the world (JOHN 3:16-19). God provided this gift because He loves us and wants to be in relationship with us. When we receive Christ as our Savior, our sins are forgiven, and we experience fellowship with Him. Jesus brightens our lives for all eternity. He said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life” (JOHN 8:12). As believers in Jesus, we’re “the light of the world” (MATTHEW 5:14). When we receive the gift God gave us through Christ, we can walk in His light and “let [our] light shine before others” (V. 16). With Him as our source, let’s shine for Him today! KATARA PATTON		[ 마태복음 5:13 - 5:16 ] - 찬송가 516 장 이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라 [마태복음 5:16] 어스름한 식당 조명 아래 한 종업원이 우리에게 와서 매우 신중한 얼굴로 주문을 조용히 받아 적고 있었습니다. 그때 손님 중 한 사람이 작은 전등이 붙어있는 펜을 종업원에게 다정히 주면서 말했습니다. “어두운 데서도 잘 보이라고요.” 순간 그의 얼굴이 밝아지며 기쁜 표정으로 바뀌었습니다. 불을 껐다 켰다 하는 모습을 보니 그 선물이 아주 마음에 드는 것 같았습니다. 그가 가고 나자 펜을 준 사람이 웃으며 나에게 작은 소리로 말했습니다. “펜을 주니까 얼굴이 밝아지네요. 오늘 좋은 하루가 될 겁니다.” 하나님이 주신 빛의 선물이 물론 우리의 삶을 밝혀 줍니다. 예수님은 세상을 구원하시려고 “세상에 오신 빛”(요한복음 3:16–19), 곧 궁극적인 빛의 선물입니다. 하나님은 우리를 사랑하시고 우리와의 관계를 위해 이 선물을 주셨습니다. 우리는 그리스도를 구주로 영접할 때 죄 사함을 받고 그와 교제 하게 됩니다. 예수님은 우리의 삶을 영원히 밝혀 주십니다. 예수님은 말씀 하셨습니다. “나는 세상의 빛이니 나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라”(요한복음 8:12). 예수님을 믿는 우리는 “세상의 빛”입니다(마태복음 5:14). 하나님께서 그리스도를 통해 주신 선물을 받을 때 우리는 그의 빛 아래에 걸어 갈 수 있으며 “[우리] 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게”(16절) 할 수 있습니다. 오늘 우리 빛의 근원이신 예수님과 함께 예수님을 위해 빛을 비추도록 합시다!

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

당신은 어떻게 그리스도의 빛을 드러내고 있습니까?
오늘 어떻게 다른 사람의 삶을 밝게 해줄 수 있을까요?

하나님 아버지, 오늘도 저를 도우셔서 다른 사람들에게 하나님의 사랑과 빛을 비추게 하소서.

13 ○너희는 세상의 소금이니 소금이 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요 후에는 아무 쓸 데 없어 다만 밖에 버려져 사람에게 밟힐 뿐이니라

14 너희는 세상의 빛이라 산 위에 있는 동네가 숨겨지지 못할 것이요

15 사람이 등불을 켜서 말 아래에 두지 아니하고 등경 위에 두나니 이러므로 집 안 모든 사람에게 비치느니라

16 이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라
