HONORING JESUS		예수님을 높여드리기
[ Matthew 26:6 - 26:13 ] - hymn 288 She has done a beautiful thing to me. [ MATTHEW 26:10 ] A twenty-dollar bill and two leaflets with messages about Jesus. That’s what was inside an envelope labeled “John Daniels, Sr Random Act of Kindness Day.” A woman gave it to me while I was on my walk at the community college campus. A year earlier, John had been fatally struck by a car after helping a homeless man and sharing words about Christ’s love with him. John’s legacy of witnessing through words and deeds lives on through the woman I met that day, along with John’s other fam-ily members. In Matthew 26:13, one woman was memorialized by Jesus with these words: “Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” The woman’s tender heart for Christ compelled her to anoint Him with expensive ointment (V. 7). What was mis-understood and criticized by others as wasteful (VV. 8-9) was commended by Jesus as “a beautiful thing” (V. 10). The woman’s costly devotion was used by God in a unique way, just as He uses our deeds today for His purposes. The envelope I received reinforced my desire to distribute resources to those on the street corners in my city, but honoring Jesus can happen in a variety of ways. Let’s tell others about Him and demonstrate His love practically. ARTHUR JACKSON		[ 마태복음 26:6 - 26:13 ] - 찬송가 288 장 그가 내게 좋은 일을 하였느니라 [마태복음 26:10] 돈 20달러와 예수님의 메시지를 전하는 두 장의 전단지가 “존 다니엘스 시니어 자선의 날”이라 적힌 봉투 안에 들어있었습니다. 그것은 커뮤니티 칼리지 캠퍼스에서 산책 중이던 나에게 한 여성이 건네준 봉투였습니다. 존이라는 분은 1년전 한 노숙자를 도와주고 그에게 그리스도의 사랑을 전하다가 차에 치여 세상을 떠났습니다. 말과 실천으로 전도에 나섰던 존의 유업은 그날 만났던 여인과 존의 다른 가족들에 의해 이어지고 있습니다. 마태복음 26장 13절에서 예수님은 이런 말씀을 하시며 한 여인을 기억하라고 하셨습니다. “내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 온 천하에 어디서 든지 이 복음이 전파되는 곳에서는 이 여자가 행한 일도 말하여 그를 기억 하리라.” 그 여인은 그리스도를 사모하는 마음으로 값비싼 향유를 주님께 부었습니다(7절). 예수님은 다른 사람들이 낭비라고 생각하고 비판한 것(8-9 절)을 “아름다운 것”(10절)이라고 하며 칭찬하셨습니다. 하나님이 그 여인의 값비싼 헌신을 특별하게 사용하신 것처럼, 지금도 하나님은 우리가 하는 일들을 그분의 목적에 사용하십니다. 나는 그 봉투를 받고서 내가 사는 곳 길거리의 노숙자들에게도 필요한 것들을 나눠주고 싶은 마음이 크게 일어났습니다. 하지만 사실 우리는 예수님을 다양한 방법으로 높여드릴 수 있습니다. 우리 모두 다른 사람들에게 예수님을 전하고, 그의 사랑을 실제로 보여주도록 하십시다.

6 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper,

7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.

8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked.

9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”

10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me.

11 The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.

12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

실제적인 방법으로 예수님을 높일 수 있도록 영감을 준 사람이 있습니까?
예수님을 향한 당신의 사랑을 어떤 친절한 행동으로 옮기고 싶습니까?

6 ○예수께서 베다니 나병환자 시몬의 집에 계실 때에

7 한 여자가 매우 귀한 향유 한 옥합을 가지고 나아와서 식사하시는 예수의 머리에 부으니

8 제자들이 보고 분개하여 이르되 무슨 의도로 이것을 허비하느냐

9 이것을 비싼 값에 팔아 가난한 자들에게 줄 수 있었겠도다 하거늘

10 예수께서 아시고 그들에게 이르시되 너희가 어찌하여 이 여자를 괴롭게 하느냐 그가 내게 좋은 일을 하였느니라

11 가난한 자들은 항상 너희와 함께 있거니와 나는 항상 함께 있지 아니하리라

12 이 여자가 내 몸에 이 향유를 부은 것은 내 장례를 위하여 함이니라

13 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 온 천하에 어디서든지 이 복음이 전파되는 곳에서는 이 여자가 행한 일도 말하여 그를 기억하리라 하시니라
