27Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “What do you seek?” or, “Why are you talking with her?” 28 So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” 30 They went out of the town and were coming to him. 31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” 32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” 33 So the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought him something to eat?” 34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. 36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. 37 For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor. Others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.” 39 Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his word. 42 They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”
27이 때에 제자들이 돌아와서, 예수께서 그 여자와 말씀을 나누시는 것을 보고 놀랐다. 그러나 예수께 “웬일이십니까?” 하거나, “어찌하여 이 여자와 말씀을 나누고 계십니까?” 하고 묻는 사람이 한 사람도 없었다. 28 그 여자는 물동이를 버려 두고 동네로 들어가서, 사람들에게 말하였다. 29 “내가 한 일을 모두 알아맞히신 분이 계십니다. 와서 보십시오. 그분이 그리스도가 아닐까요?” 30 사람들이 동네에서 나와서, 예수께로 갔다. 31 그러는 동안에, 제자들이 예수께, “랍비님, 잡수십시오” 하고 권하였다. 32 그러나 예수께서는 그들에게 말씀하시기를 “나에게는 너희가 알지 못하는 먹을 양식이 있다” 하셨다. 33 제자들은 “누가 잡수실 것을 가져다 드렸을까?” 하고 서로 말하였다. 34 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “나의 양식은, 나를 보내신 분의 뜻을 행하고, 그분의 일을 이루는 것이다. 35 너희는 넉 달이 지나야 추수 때가 된다고 하지 않느냐? 그러나 나는 너희에게 말한다. 눈을 들어서 밭을 보아라. 이미 곡식이 익어서, 거둘 때가 되었다. 36 추수하는 사람은 품삯을 받으며, 영생에 이르는 열매를 거두어들인다. 그리하면 씨를 뿌리는 사람과 추수하는 사람이 함께 기뻐할 것이다. 37 그러므로 ‘한 사람은 심고, 한 사람은 거둔다’는 말이 옳다. 38 나는 너희를 보내서, 너희가 수고하지 않은 것을 거두게 하였다. 수고는 남들이 하였는데, 너희는 그들의 수고의 결실에 참여하게 된 것이다.” 39 그 동네에서 많은 사마리아 사람이 예수를 믿게 되었다. 그것은 그 여자가, 자기가 한 일을 예수께서 다 알아맞히셨다고 증언하였기 때문이다. 40 사마리아 사람들이 예수께 와서, 자기들과 함께 머무시기를 청하므로, 예수께서는 이틀 동안 거기에 머무르셨다. 41 그래서 더 많은 사람들이 예수의 말씀을 듣고서, 믿게 되었다. 42 그들은 그 여자에게 말하였다. “우리가 믿는 것은, 이제 당신의 말 때문만은 아니오. 우리가 그 말씀을 직접 들어보고, 이분이 참으로 세상의 구주이심을 알았기 때문이오.”
