1Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights!
2 Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!
3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!
4 Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!
5 Let them praise the name of the LORD! For he commanded and they were created.
6 And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.
7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps,
8 fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!
9 Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!
10 Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!
11 Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!
12 Young men and maidens together, old men and children!
13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.
14 He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise the LORD!

1할렐루야. 하늘에서 주님을 찬양하여라. 높은 곳에서 주님을 찬양하여라.
2 주님의 모든 천사들아, 주님을 찬양하여라. 주님의 모든 군대야, 주님을 찬양하여라.
3 해와 달아, 주님을 찬양하여라. 빛나는 별들아, 모두 다 주님을 찬양하여라.
4 하늘 위의 하늘아, 주님을 찬양하여라. 하늘 위에 있는 물아, 주님을 찬양하여라.
5 너희가 주님의 명을 따라서 창조되었으니, 너희는 그 이름을 찬양하여라.
6 너희가 앉을 영원한 자리를 정하여 주시고, 지켜야 할 법칙을 주셨다.
7 온 땅아, 주님을 찬양하여라. 바다의 괴물들과 바다의 심연아,
8 불과 우박, 눈과 서리, 그분이 명하신 대로 따르는 세찬 바람아,
9 모든 산과 언덕들, 모든 과일나무와 백향목들아,
10 모든 들짐승과 가축들, 기어 다니는 것과 날아다니는 새들아,
11 세상의 모든 임금과 백성들, 세상의 모든 고관과 재판관들아,
12 총각과 처녀, 노인과 아이들아,
13 모두 주님의 이름을 찬양하여라. 그 이름만이 홀로 높고 높다. 그 위엄이 땅과 하늘에 가득하다.
14 주님이 그의 백성을 강하게 하셨으니, 찬양은 주님의 모든 성도들과, 주님을 가까이 모시는 백성들과, 이스라엘 백성이, 마땅히 드려야 할 일이다. 할렐루야.

Who is God like?

Thinking & Understanding
The individual praise of the psalmist in Psalm 146 expands into a communal song of praise. The psalmist calls on everyone, from the angels in heaven to the creatures on earth, to praise God. He created and established the world and is Lord over all. It is only right that all beings honour him. Even natural events, beyond human control, obey God's command. All who live by God's grace will join together in praise, regardless of status or age (vv. 1-14).
시편 146편의 ‘내 영혼’의 찬양이 이제 ‘우리 모두’의 찬양으로 확장합니다. 시인은 하늘의 천사부터 땅 위의 모든 피조물까지 하나님을 찬양하라고 명령합니다. 말씀으로 세상을 창조하시고 질서를 세우신 하나님은 온 세상의 주인이시며, 모든 존재는 그분을 찬양하는 것이 마땅합니다. 인간의 힘으로는 제어할 수 없는 자연과 혼돈도 하나님의 명령 아래 있습니다. 하나님의 은혜로 살아가는 모든 사람은 지위와 나이에 상관없이 함께 하나님을 찬양해야 합니다(1-14절).

Who is God?
V. 13 God is most high: No one compares to him and nothing can take his place. The root of sin and idolatry begins when we fail to acknowledge God as God (Gen. 3:5-6; Ex. 32:4). Therefore, we must humbly praise him as those made in his image.
홀로 가장 높으신 분입니다. 그분과 비길 수 있는 존재는 아무도 없으며, 사람이나 다른 무엇도 하나님의 자리를 대신할 수 없습니다. 하나님을 하나님으로 인정하지 않을 때 죄와 우상숭배가 시작됩니다(창 3:5-6; 출 32:4). 그러므로 우리는 겸손히 하나님을 높이며, 피조물로서 마땅한 자리를 지켜야 합니다.

What lesson is God teaching me?
V. 14 Praising God is the duty of all creatures. Take a moment to reflect: have you been so caught up in the busyness of life that you have set praise aside? Remember, the very reason you are alive today is to glorify God (Is. 43:21). Let us exalt him with joy today.
하나님을 찬양하는 일은 모든 피조물이 마땅히 해야 할 일입니다. 바쁜 일상에 쫓겨 찬양을 뒤로 미루고 살지는 않았는지 돌아보아야 합니다. 내가 오늘 살아 있는 이유는 하나님을 찬양하기 위함입니다(사 43:21). 하나님이 주신 생명으로 오늘도 그분을 기쁨으로 높이십시오.
