28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

28그 뒤에 예수께서는 모든 일이 이루어졌음을 아시고, 성경 말씀을 이루시려고 “목마르다” 하고 말씀하셨다. 29 거기에 신 포도주가 가득 담긴 그릇이 있었는데, 사람들이 해면을 그 신 포도주에 듬뿍 적셔서, 우슬초 대에다가 꿰어 예수의 입에 갖다 대었다. 30 예수께서 신 포도주를 받으시고서, “다 이루었다” 하고 말씀하신 뒤에, 머리를 떨어뜨리시고 숨을 거두셨다.

46세 시쯤에 예수께서 큰 소리로 부르짖어 말씀하셨다. “엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니?” 그것은 “나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨습니까?”라는 뜻이다.
